Vehicle Description

I have collected cars for 35 years. This is one of the classics from my personal collection, see others, at www.gccc.us According to the prior owner, this is an all original (including spiral shocks) 1959 Ford Thunderbird convertible with just over 53,000 original miles. Overall this car is in very good condition.

NEW PROFESSIONAL PAINT JOB WILL BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK. Beautiful Raven Black, Base Coat, Clear Coat.

.Complete new engine rebuilt, new brakes, new front end, new interior,. THis square bird has a NEW padded dash.. Undergoing a professional paint job, base coat clear coat in Ford original black color. Looks stunning with the black convertible top, gleaming beautiful black body with original style Red and White interior.. NOTE: This car is titled as a 1958 with matching VIN, however, it is a 1959. We are getting this corrected now. ~~ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT:Convertible, power top, Power Brakes,Power Steering ,Power Windows ,AM Radio, 352 CID / 300 hp fresh professional rebuild less than 300 miles, power convertible top ,four-barrel Holley carb carburetor The Second to Fourth Generation Thunderbird convertibles were similar in design to the Lincoln convertible of the time and borrowed from earlier Ford hardtop/convertible designs. While these Thunderbird models had a true convertible soft top, the top was lowered to stow in the forward trunk area. This design reduced available trunk space when the top was down. The trunk lid was rear-hinged; raised and lowered via hydraulic cylinders during the top raising or lowering cycle. The forward end of the trunk lid contained a metal plate that extended upward to cover the area that the top is stowed in. With the top down and the trunk lid lowered, there is no sight of the soft top.

As with All 50+year old classic cars this car IS SOLD AS IS. We invite you to schedule a time to come see and driver this car. It is ready to go Coast to Coast.
